ABOUT
A rising star Ishmael Anakwa Lartey with the brand name afroheadgh. A visual artist born and bred in Akosombo. He studied visual art in Akwamuman Snr High then went to study marketing in koforidua polytechnic with the intention to divert his whole career path from Art. Reason being that his environment both school and community didn’t inspire him enough to persue the art world.
interestingly, he got introduced to digital art in same school, same class by a friend. took it from there to learn more on his own till now.
“He began from Digital Art and abit of Graphic designing to printing his art on shirt and into frames. Then to traditional Art.
He now paint traditionally onto cloths, i do graffiti/ Murals and canvases.
“As a music lover and a Ghanaian the Gh music and certain aspects of the entertainment fraternity has my attention . Infact I’ve drawn inspiration from most of these people’s hard work and journey. This makes me find fulfillment in connecting my art to it. am multi faceted with the topics my art discusses. tho am also particular about anything black entertainment and history.”
